Since his death, I’ve recently become obsessed with Kurt Vonnegut’s books. I had read Cat’s Cradle before, and wasn’t that impressed. But, when he died, I decided to read another one of his books, this time “Breakfast of Champions“. It blew me away. The style of writing was unlike anything I had ever seen; the non-sequiters, the crude illustrations, the tasteful obscenities, the biting satire, everything. As a result I’ve read six books of his in the last month or so, and though they can’t all quite live up to Breakfast of Champions, they’re good. Damn good.
I’ve decided to share my infatuation of Kurt Vonnegut by creating “The Kurt Vonnegut Library“, a website where you can read all his book online, or download them in .pdf form (or .doc, .txt, and .mp3 thanks to Scribd). It’s a pretty crude looking website, it didn’t take much effort to make, but it serves it’s purpose well. Enjoy.
Oh, by the way, The Library got frontpaged on Reddit and has five stars on Stumbleupon. :D
I discovered the Kurt Vonnegut Library and wanted to say 1. Wow! and 2. Thanks!
I can’t seem to find a Scribd hosted version of Vonnegut’s novel Galapagos - could I request it be added?
Thanks again.
I’ve looked high and low for a .pdf version of Galapagos, and I can’t find it anywhere. I may have to scan it myself from my own collection :/
Glad you like the library.
